[YAKC]: Research initiated on Yak Communications Inc.

.
.
the_worm06 Research Department initiates research on Yak Communications Inc.

Initial YAKC research reports will cover:

1. The more than $4.0 mllion cash transferred to the Malaysian/British entities Convenxia Limited and Consortio, Inc.

2. The details of the "Next Generation Software" agreement.

3. Related party transactions, including those with South America.

4. The $450,000 Toronto property fiasco.

5. The restatement of the financial statements.

6. The restructuring of the CEO options only a few months before their exercise.

7. A review of the VOIP business.

8. A review and background of the senior officers and Board of Directors.

9. A detailed review of the excessive transaction fees for the Contour Telecom Inc. and Argos Telecom Inc. acquisitions by YAKC?

10. Where did the cash that initially funded YAKC come from? Were senior members of YAKC management being paid by other public companies to serve full-time at those companies, while instead they were actually operating YAKC? Should the stockholders of these other public companies be the majority owners of YAKC?

details to follow

Can you tell me if employees of Yak Communications are members of the Telecommunications Workers Union? Likely a naive question but am having difficulty finding out.

Thanks.

Well just to finalize this topic. Yak was purchased by GlobeAlive in Q4-2006. Integration of Yak into GlobeAlive should be completed by now. The portion of yak that operated in the USA was purchased by a private investor. The voip business was purchased by another private investor.
The remainder of Yak, casual dialling/dial-around, PIC long distance, Contour and Yak-For-Business still remain. Contour may be sold in the future or shut down as the VP responsible for Contour and Yak-For-Business is no longer with the company.
